Acorn House
Seventeen checked out London’s greenest eatery yesterday – Acorn House. It’s the first truly eco-friendly restaurant in London, not only boasting a locally sourced, sustainable menu but the restaurant itself has been designed with environmental issues in mind. Acorn House also provides training to 10 local people, which will mean that their eco restaurant knowledge will become widespread.
The food was delicious – I had a spinach and goats cheese frittata with pumpkin and curly kale salads which was fresh, healthy and super tasty. As could be expected at this time of year the place was full to bursting, but the staff were pleasant, and the English white wine made the wait for our food less of an issue. The menu changes on a monthly basis (to ensure all the food served is seasonal), so I’m looking forward to sampling January’s offering!
