Busy day at Seventeen today…
….with both the Observer Food Monthly judging lunch and an event for businesses in Holborn about transport. I had the enviable task of tasting the UK’s best food produce with an esteemed judging panel including Jay Rayner, Nigel Slater, Sheherazade Goldsmith and Alex James. Managed to avoid haranguing Alex about how Tommy Reilly should win the Orange unsigned act awards, and instead presented the panel with a variety of food, from duck eggs to doughnuts. Obviously my lips are sealed (and slightly jammy), but I’m confident that the panel have selected a very worthy line up of winners – all will be revealed at the awards party and in OFM in March.
