Inverness in the rain
I had a great trip up north this week to visit one of the shortlisted entrants in the Young Campaigner of the Year category of the Observer Ethical Awards. Stratherrick Primary School, just south of Inverness, has only 26 pupils but has still managed to transform itself into an eco-paradise (complete with midges). It was a real inspiration to meet some of the kids who had been involved in the project and hear first hand from them how much the work had meant to them.
The Awards themselves are announced on Thursday evening at The Hospital members bar in Covent Garden – good luck to all the shortlisted entrants.
