Mayor’s Green Procurement Code
We were delighted and proud to be nominated in the “Measurements & Results” category of this year’s Mayor’s Green Procurement Code. Although we lost out on the night we are still very proud of what we’ve achieved this year. Our fellow short listed organisations were Transport for London, Penguin Books and the London Fire Brigade. We were awarded Silver Level in this year’s programme which is a great result for us.
We even got a certificate signed by Boris:
Here’s the formal press release we sent out…
Seventeen Events, the sustainable event management agency, were shortlisted in the Measurement & Results category of this year’s Mayor’s Green Procurement Code Awards. The Awards, which were announced last night (26th October) at RIBA, saw Seventeen eventually lose out to Transport for London and the London Fire Brigade, but the agency were still delighted to be awarded Silver level status as part of the overall awards programme.
Commenting on the nomination, Seventeen Events managing director Andrew Williams said that he saw the achievement as recognition of Seventeen’s attempts to push the sustainable agenda.
“Being shortlisted in the Mayor’s Green Procurement Code Awards is a huge honour for any organisation, but for Seventeen it was made even more exciting by the organisations we shared the nomination with. To be shortlisted alongside Transport for London, London Fire Brigade and Penguin Books is a huge achievement for us, and a great tribute to our team who are always looking for new ways to improve our sustainable procurement. We send our heartfelt congratulations to Transport for London and the London Fire Brigade on their success in the awards.”
Seventeen Events were the only organisation from the events industry to be shortlisted in the awards. Other winners at the ceremony included the Met Police, London Borough of Lambeth, and Forum for the Future.
